Beaches in Rimini
Rimini’s coastline stretches as long as 15 km and smoothly merges into the other no less well-known cities such as Riccione, Cattolica (in the south). So, wherever you are, you will always find a beach nearby.
Important to know: beaches, located north of Rimini, are protected from waves with an artificial stone wall (breakwater). So if you like waves, then you should not book a hotel in the northern coast.
Free beaches:
Nobody can keep you from going to a pay beach and lying down near the water with your own towel, it's legal. But you cannot use any other services like toilet, bar, sunbed. So, it is normal to carry at least 1 sunbed if you don’t need a canopy, and enjoy your vacation.
Pay beaches:
The entire coast line is covered with pay beaches, they differ little from one another, and there you can find everything you may need: bar, toilet, shower, tennis or volleyball courts, and many other facilities. Beaches in the downtown city are a little bit expensive than others; tentative prices for beaches near the downtown city are given below for your information (you can gain a small discount, bargain!).
